A guy walked into a museum and offered to donate a 1937 Packard.

“To be really quite honest, I think it sort of is a little unusual for someone to walk in off the street and just give you a car,” said Keri Wilde.

But that’s exactly what happened. On Sept. 22, Max Kennedy walked into Wilde’s office at Ogden’s Union Station and asked if she’d like to add his 1937 Packard Business Coupe to the Browning-Kimball Classic Car Museum. It wouldn’t be a loan, but a gift — no strings attached.

“He had the title in his hand and said, ‘Come and get it,’ ” said Wilde, manager of museum services.
