The body was removed from the chassis to start the rust repairs. The entire floor pan was removed along with the firewall.

The body is supported by the “A” frame with a 2″ square tube through the quarter windows and also by jack stands under the firewall and also the rear of the car.

Here the rusted floor panels are removed. We first welded in a brace to keep the body from flexing in.

We started the new panel replacement by first installing the lower rocker boxes under the cowl section.

The rocker boxes under the cowl are now tack welded on. The firewall was removed after a brace was tack welded in to hold the proper width. We will now fit both doors to the body. The fit of the doors will tell us which way the body needs to be adjusted as we start welding in the rocker boxes.
